 Shahaan 3 years old, was born on July 3, 2018. His family was very happy until one day they found out that their son was deaf. They were shocked to hear this and worried about how they will cope with these difficulties to allow their child to hear.

In the past, our NGO with government grants and with public support, we have successfully supported 2 cases that both are hearing today and even going to school.

This can happen from an implant called a cochlear implant.

A cochlear implant (CI) is a surgically implanted neuroprosthesis that provides a person with sensorineural hearing loss with an altered sense of sound. CI bypasses the normal acoustic hearing process and replaces it with electrical signals that directly stimulate the auditory nerve. A person with a cochlear implant receiving intensive hearing training can learn to interpret these signals as sound and speech.
