Praneel 12Yrs, is suffering from a heart malformation disease called « Dilated cardiomyopathy ». Dilated cardiomyopathy is a type of heart muscle disease that causes the heart chambers (ventricles) to thin and stretch, growing larger. It typically starts in the heart’s main pumping chamber (left ventricle). Dilated cardiomyopathy makes it harder for the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body.

The young boy will be under the charge of Dr Sandeep Attawar at KIMS Hospital. It is the same team who were in charge of our very first heart transplantation patient, Terry Louise.

Praneel will have no choice to have a LVAD Implant and to put him on the list of cardiac transplantation. This will cost him about more than Rs 10 Million MUR or $210,838.
